The incidences of aircraft accidents due to collision with buildings or other tall structures is a common hear say nowadays. Such cases are on a rise in the US where the development in the real estate sector has led to the construction of several tall buildings or structures which often lie n the path of passenger airplanes.

In order o solve this problem, the civil aviation authority has given the directive to many companies associated with aviation lighting to develop a series of products or devices which can be installed atop such structures or buildings and serve the purpose of warning an aircraft about the presence of an obstacle in its way.

A major development in this regard has been the large scale production the ‘NEWLITE’ series of obstruction lights. They are basically meant for installation into the terrace of a high rise o tall building and consist of a three row array of LED lighting which can provide the most accurate signals to the incoming aircraft. The LED’s basically give out a red signal which has a larger wavelength and can be seen from a longer distance.

There are a lot of advantages of using the new age technology of obstruction light. The device has a long lasting lifetime which although depends upon certain factors, is long enough to help save on the cost of alternated devices. It has minimum heat production tendency and can enough light to be seen from far off distance even during power fluctuation.

The device has been designed in such a way that it is affected minimally by temperature conditions and other weather related factors like rainfall etc. In order to make sure that it is affected to the least by such factors, it is enclosed in an aluminum cage and provided a plastic coated glass covering.
